$500 Million Wasted on Obamacare Exchanges
A number of states have spent a combined nearly half a billion dollars on Obamacare exchange websites that are now in turmoil. The states – Massachusetts, Oregon, Nevada, and Maryland – may even need more federal dollars to prop up their struggling state exchanges. Or, perhaps even worse, they may opt to join the growing number of states – now at 36 – in switching to the federal HealthCare.gov exchange, essentially flushing $500 million of our tax dollars down the drain.
Obamacare is broken. This law was forced through a Democratic-controlled Congress against the wishes of the American people and we are now seeing almost daily examples of its failures. I am tired of seeing taxpayer dollars wasted as a result of this broken law and I pledge to continue to work with my House colleagues to fight it at all costs.
