Federal Regulations Cost You $15,000 a Year
A recent study found that federal regulations cost our economy $1.86 trillion annually. That number comes out to $14,974 per U.S. household. To put that in perspective, this “hidden tax” is more than the average American family will spend on health care, food, or transportation in a given year. This growing regulatory state is hurting our families while increasing the cost to do business in this country.
While some rules governing basic health and safety are obviously necessary in a free market system, we must work to cut the increasingly costly red tape that is hampering our job creators and taking money out of the pockets of hardworking American families. I am committed to fighting against this growing regulatory state and in defense of our taxpayers.
